This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process and disclose your personal information about your access and use of the platform SheShe. This applies to all websites, platforms and services that link to this policy. When you sign up (on the app) you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

If you find a term not defined in this Privacy Policy (such as "Event" or "Platform SheSea"), has the same meaning as in our Terms and Conditions.

3. Responsible for the Data Processing

When we mention SheSea, we refer to the entity responsible for your personal information under this Privacy Policy. Once the company is legally constituted, it will be updated identification data and contact in this document.

4. Information that we Collect and Use

SheSea is solely intended for users 18 years and older. We do not accept the registration of minors. If we find an account belonging to a minor without parental consent, we will proceed to the immediate elimination.

Depending on the type of user, we collect different data to tailor the experience within the platform:

4.1. User Professional (Job Search)

If you register as a user professional with the purpose of finding a job or connect with employment opportunities in the maritime industry, we collect the following information:

Account information: First name, last name, e-mail address and date of birth.

Profile information: Profile photo, location (if the user allows it) and professional information related to the maritime industry.

Professional details:

  • CV and work experience (jobs, businesses, years of experience, certifications, maritime, professional licenses, languages spoken).
  • Skills and specializations.
  • Availability to work or collaborations.

Payment details: If you choose to access premium services, or to pay for formations within the app, we collect financial information (payment method, transaction details, billing).

Communications: Messages and job applications sent to other users within the platform.

Use of data:

  • To facilitate the connection between users and business opportunities.
  • Allow users to add and share your CV with potential employers.
  • Show profiles relevant depending on skills and experience.
  • To enable the management of payments and subscriptions for premium services.

4.2. User Recreational (Basic Registration)

If you register as a user, a recreation with the intention of connecting with other women in the maritime community without seeking employment, we collect basic data:

  • Account information: First name, last name, e-mail address and date of birth.
  • Profile information: Profile photo and location (optional).
  • Personal preferences: Interests within the community (travel, training, experience).
  • Communications: Messages sent to other users on the platform.
  • Use of data:
  • To facilitate the connection and communication between users.
  • Show content and events are custom tailored to interests.
  • To protect the community and to moderate the interactions on the platform.

4.3. Users who Only Participate in Events/Trainings

If you want to attend events organised in She Is (whether professional or recreational), we collect additional information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and billing information for the purchase of tickets.
  • Event history: Events acquired and cared for.
  • Payment details: Transaction details and payment methods.
  • Use of data:
  • Process the entry fees for events within the app.
  • Send confirmations and details of the events.
  • Facilitate the access and registration to the event.
  • Send reminders and updates about events.

📌 Note: SheSea does not store banking information. All payments are processed through payment providers.

5. Intellectual Property

The mark, trademark of Shesea, software, application, design, source code, database and all graphic elements and textual components of the platform are the sole property of SheShe.

Users retain the rights to the content that you share on SheSea, but give the platform a limited license to use such content for operational purposes, such as viewing or promotion of publications.

All photos uploaded by the users to remain within the system SheSea and will not be used for commercial purposes without explicit consent.

Photos uploaded by the users is kept in the system while the account is active. If a user deletes their account, their photos will be deleted from our servers in a maximum of 30 days, except in those cases in which the retention is required for legal or safety reasons. During this period, the data will be blocked and will not be accessible except for the legal compliance.

Is prohibited the reproduction, distribution, or modification of software, design or content of SheSea without express authorization.

6. Data sharing

We may share information with:

  • Service providers (storage, payments, technical support).
  • Legal authorities when required.
  • Partner companies, with the prior consent of the user.

Nor sell personal data to third parties.

7. Rights of Users

Users can:

  • Access, correct or delete their data.
  • Restrict or object to the processing of their data.
  • Request the portability of your data.
